North Fork Poudre Site Conservation Team Working Area & Projects
The North Fork Poudre SCT working area is defined by the North Fork of the Cache la Poudre River watershed highlighted in gray. Within this working area, members of the North Fork Poudre SCT are collaborating with landowners to restore low-grade riparian ecosystems, a crucial habitat for wildlife including the Preble's Meadow Jumping Mouse. Additionally, SCT members are conducting another year of trapping and monitoring to understand habitat preferences and population extent of Preble's.

The proposed 105-acre Rabbit Creek Mitigation Bank stream mitigation and Preble’s Meadow Jumping Mouse conservation bank project is located on a section of state trust land adjacent to the 28,000-acre Cherokee Park State Wildlife Area.
